PreK Playscape

Caroline Elementary School

This school is located in a beautiful rural setting. We created a playscape that used local natural materials including boulders from a nearby farm and huge sections of trees that had been taken down and donated by the city. A local sculptor, Mark Watson, (who actually went to elementary school there) carved the wood into beautiful huggable play sculptures.

Features include a large paved trike track, the play sculpture garden, low “tree houses”, a play house and a large sand and water area. The trickle of water flows into the sand area through a carved log and is controlled by the children (teachers have the ultimate shutoff inside the building).
